Blooming’ Beautiful
The Challenge
Great Southern Treasures organizes an annual wildflower festival, highlighting the character of rural Western Australia. The festival spans the entire Great Southern Treasures region, from Kojonup to Pingrup, down to Bremer Bay on the coast, across to the Porongurup and Frankland River, taking in major centers such as Katanning, the Stirling Range, and Fitzgerald River National Parks, and everything in between. Events and activities include arts, crafts, displays, exhibitions, fauna and flora-themed activities, creative workshops, food events, markets, Noongar cultural events, open gardens, wine and dine events, family fun days, movie nights, live music, heritage trails, guided flower walks, and tours and hikes, including through the Stirling and Porongurup Ranges.
The Idea
To produce a new brand that showcases the beauty of the festival, versatile enough to be used across collateral, marketing, and platforms. Additionally, to create a program that lists all the events for the Bloom festival 2024, guiding attendees along the wildflower journey across the region, bringing the community and visitors together to celebrate.
The Solution
Clever Octopus collaborated with the team at Great Southern Treasures to develop a stunning brand. This included beautifully hand-illustrated wildflowers and an eye-catching font, blending beauty with minimalism. The versatile brand suite includes a primary logo, secondary logo, various brand elements, color palette, and typography. The brand was then used to develop an A5 program for print and digital media. The program served as a comprehensive guide, bringing together all the events and collaborations. It provided the community and visitors with a detailed resource to explore the regions and experience amazing exhibitions, events, markets, guided walks, and more.
The Last Word
Bloom Festival 2024 is now a beautifully branded event. The new brand will carry on into future annual events. The curated program was crafted with precision and attention to detail, showcasing advertisements, events, sponsors, and using the new branding throughout the booklet.
